Qualifications & Experience:
Current credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required. Valid Respiratory Therapy license in Michigan, or eligibility for licensure. Experience in acute care or hospital settings is highly valued. Proficiency in a range of respiratory treatments, ventilator management, and diagnostic procedures. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams. Commitment to patient-centered care and continuing professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer respiratory therapy modalities to patients based on physician orders and established protocols. Perform assessments of lung function and patient respiratory status. Monitor, maintain, and adjust ventilators and other respiratory equipment. Educate patients and families regarding respiratory care plans and preventive strategies. Collaborate closely with medical staff to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
