Qualifications:
Current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Valid state respiratory care practitioner license Previous experience as a Respiratory Therapist preferred Proficiency with various respiratory therapy modalities, including ventilator management and oxygen therapy Strong communication and critical thinking skills Flexible and adaptable to different clinical environments Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, and deliver respiratory care treatments based on physician orders and established protocols Monitor patient progress and adjust therapies as needed to ensure optimal outcomes Operate and maintain respiratory therapy equipment, including ventilators, oxygen delivery systems, and nebulizers Educate patients and their families on respiratory therapies, disease processes, and equipment usage Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, assessments, and patient responses in electronic medical records Respond promptly to codes and respiratory emergencies, applying advanced life support measures as necessary This position offers the chance to work alongside talented healthcare professionals in a supportive setting.
