2 Description American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with Level IV NICU experience and pediatric critical care background for a night shift PICU travel assignment. Details PICU setting at a large academic medical center Patient population includes neonates, infants, pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients Experience with high-frequency jet ventilators and oscillating ventilators required in this role Pediatric cardiac anomalies cases are part of the caseload Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00-07:30 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule block No on-call requirement 13-week contract Requirements NC RRT license (Compact or NC state license) must be in hand at time of consideration License required if applicable All required certifications must be in hand at time of consideration: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS Minimum 2 years of experience in NICU, pediatric critical care, pediatrics, and ED Level IV NICU experience required Hands-on experience with high-frequency jet ventilators and oscillating ventilators required Level 1 trauma experience required 1 supervisory reference within the last year required for consideration Full SSN and DOB required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility are accepted, though at a different pay rate than travel candidates Flu vaccine is required from October 31 through March 31 with no exemptions accepted Orientations are held bi-weekly
