A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Job Description

Respiratory Therapist (RRT) -

Nights Duties:

Assess and monitor patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions. Administer respiratory treatments and therapies as ordered. Provide oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and other respiratory interventions. Monitor and manage ventilators and other respiratory equipment as appropriate. Evaluate patients' responses to treatment and communicate significant changes to the healthcare team. Respond to respiratory emergencies and assist with emergency and critical-care situations.

Qualifications :

Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy - required Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in the State of North Carolina - required Ability to work effectively in emergency and high-acuity situations. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Ability to work a night-shift schedule .

Compensation:

$27.00-$37.00/
