Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Respiratory Therapist Near Haverhill, NH | 4-Day Workweek | Overtime Available A hospital in the Haverhill, New Hampshire area is looking for a Respiratory Therapist to join their team. This is a great opportunity for an RT looking for a 4-day workweek, a predictable schedule, and the ability to pick up additional hours for those interested in overtime. Position Highlights 4 × 10-hour shifts per week Overnight on-call responsibilities Overtime available for those who want additional hours Supportive hospital environment Opportunity to work with a diverse patient population Responsibilities Provide respiratory care to patients across a variety of clinical settings. Perform respiratory assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans. Administer respiratory treatments and therapies as ordered. Manage oxygen therapy, ventilators, and other respiratory equipment. Assist with airway management and emergency respiratory procedures. Monitor patient responses to treatment and communicate changes to the healthcare team. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate patient documentation and follow established respiratory care protocols. Respond to respiratory emergencies and provide appropriate interventions. Participate in quality improvement and continuing education activities. Schedule 4 × 10-hour shifts The position also includes overnight on-call responsibilities. For Respiratory Therapists interested in earning additional income, overtime opportunities are available. Qualifications Respiratory Therapist credential/certification as required. New graduates may be considered depending on experience and credentials. Strong clinical, communication, and critical-thinking skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the healthcare team. New Hampshire licensure or eligibility required.
