Job Description

Community Medical Center seeks a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality respiratory care to diverse patient populations. Responsibilities include assessing patients, performing diagnostic tests, administering therapeutic modalities, managing ventilators, and responding to respiratory emergencies. The therapist will collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans. This role supports patient and family education on respiratory conditions, equipment, and home care. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments and document findings in the EMRAdminister respiratory therapies including nebulizer treatments, oxygen therapy, and chest physiotherapy Manage invasive and non-invasive ventilators, adjusting settings per protocols and physician orders Obtain and interpret arterial blood gases and pulmonary function tests Respond to respiratory emergencies, including rapid response and codes Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to develop and modify respiratory care plans Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, equipment use, and home care strategies Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment to ensure safe and effective operation Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards in all aspects of care Participate in ongoing education, competency training, and quality improvement initiatives Required Skills Respiratory assessment Ventilator management Arterial blood gas interpretation Pulmonary function testing Nebulizer and aerosol therapy Airway management Oxygen therapy Non-invasive ventilation (Bi
