A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Job Description
Primary Work Shift:
Days or Nights (3) 12-hour shifts Sign-on bonus up to $15,000 for experienced candidates, along with relocation assistance for eligible candidates $20,000 tuition reimbursement for new graduates of accredited Respiratory Therapy programs, with ongoing support for continued education and career advancement At UHS, you will be supported to make the right decisions for our patients as part of a comprehensive team that is equally dedicated to patient care. This is either because there are multiple openings at different sites, or the successful candidate will be required to float across multiple UHS facilities. Rotational Compensation Range:
$33.63- $50.45 per hour, depending on experience You will be eligible for benefits if you are hired into a regular position with at least 24 scheduled weekly hours.

Position Qualifications Minimum Required:
Graduation from an accredited School for Respiratory Therapy New York State Respiratory Therapy Permit or License BLS/CPR Certification upon hire and ACLS within three (3) months of hirePreferred:
