RCP License Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PRN Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team part-time. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with respiratory diseases and disorders. Your expertise will ensure the delivery of high-quality care to patients in need of respiratory support. Duties:
  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments to patients under the supervision of a physician or as ordered.
  • Conduct patient assessments to identify respiratory problems and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Operate and maintain respiratory therapy equipment, including ventilators, oxygen concentrators, and CPAP machines.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on respiratory therapy treatments and disease management.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
  • Monitor and record patient progress, identifying any changes in their condition that may require adjustments to their treatment plan.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of respiratory therapy equipment to ensure proper function.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to continually improve patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a RN or Respiratory Therapist
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to lift and move patients and equipment as needed.
  • Knowledge of respiratory therapy principles and practices, including ventilator management and oxygen therapy.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and computerized documentation systems.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and staying up-to-date with the latest advances in respiratory therapy.
