A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Overview:
Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center is currently hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist to work a Full Time, 14-week assignment! Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center- Woodbridge, VA $80.
NBRC RRT
within 6 months of hire date. Education Associate's Degree- Respiratory Therapy OR Bachelor's Degree
- Respiratory Therapy Certification/Licensure Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Certification
- National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) Respiratory Therapist License
- State license
- Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP) Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Certification
- American Heart Association (AHA) Experience 1 year of clinical respiratory care experience (preferred) 2 years of NICU or PICU experience (strongly preferred)
