A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Job Description
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid credentials as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Current state license in good standing Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred Proven experience working with ventilators, non-invasive ventilation, and other respiratory equipment Strong critical thinking and communication abilities Ability to adapt to fast-paced clinical environmentsCore Responsibilities:
Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures as ordered by clinicians Conduct patient assessments and monitor responses to treatment, adjusting care plans as needed Operate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, ensuring patient safety and care quality Document patient status, therapy delivered, and progress in electronic medical records Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, therapies, and self-care strategies Participate in emergency care including airway management and code response This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in patient outcomes while working alongside skilled professionals.
