Key Qualifications:
Current credential as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Valid state license to practice respiratory therapy Demonstrated proficiency in respiratory interventions, assessments, and therapeutic protocols Solid understanding of ventilator management, bronchial hygiene, and airway care Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, patients, and families Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and safety Prior experience in an acute care, critical care, or hospital environment strongly preferredResponsibilities:
Assess, plan, and implement respiratory therapy treatments in accordance with physician directives and facility standards Monitor patients' respiratory status and adjust care plans based on ongoing assessment and response to therapy Operate and maintain equipment for ventilation, oxygen delivery, aerosol therapy, and airway management Accurately document all treatments, assessments, and patient education in the medical record Educate patients and families regarding respiratory care procedures and disease management Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain aseptic techniques and adhere to infection control policies at all times This is a contract role requiring a flexible, reliable professional eager to contribute their skills where they are most needed.
