A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Job Description:

Tide is hiring a Regional Director of Respiratory Therapy to oversee non-ventilator respiratory programs across our SNF network. Lead clinical quality, compliance, and staff development for respiratory services region-wide. RT licensure and multi-site leadership experience preferred, but not required. Work with a team of professionals who value your contribution. Skills, Education and Experience Minimum one (1) year experience working with adults in a long term care setting

Education:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.

Licensure:

Current and active state Respiratory Therapist license. Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy procedures, equipment, and infection control practices. Ability to perform detailed assessments and respond appropriately in urgent situations. Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Compassionate, patient-focused, and adaptable to the skilled nursing environment.
