A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Full Job Description Role & Responsibilities:
This position involves performing respiratory therapy procedures for patients with diverse needs and conditions. Supervises no other positions but requires ensuring patient safety, proper equipment use, and adherence to protocols. Key duties include administering treatments, assisting with patient care, and managing emergency situations as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
Candidates must demonstrate physical capability to perform essential duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds, mobility, stamina, and physical activities like bending, squatting, and climbing. Must be able to see with corrective eyewear and hear clearly with assistance. Ability to handle infectious materials, toxic chemicals, and wear protective gear is essential. Strong communication skills, attention to safety, and adaptability to irregular hours are required.
Physical & Visual/Hearing Requirements:
The role requires good vision with correction, clear hearing with assistance, and physical ability to perform activities such as walking, standing, bending, and occasional climbing or kneeling. May be exposed to infectious agents, chemicals, and require wearing protective equipment. Activities involve continuous sitting, frequent bending, squatting, and occasional climbing or twisting.
