Qualifications:
Active credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Respiratory Therapist Demonstrated proficiency in providing respiratory care for pediatric and adult populations BLS and ACLS certifications (or willingness to obtain before start) Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills Previous hospital experience preferred
Responsibilities:
Deliver respiratory therapy interventions, including aerosol medication administration, chest physiotherapy, ventilator management, and patient assessment Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and allied staff to develop and implement patient care plans Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and interpret results Educate patients and families on disease management and treatment options Maintain accurate, detailed records of therapy and patient progress Uphold safety standards and comply with infection control protocols
