A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

AM Experience:
24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months. Travel experience is preferred. Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a license (required after submission). This role will require floating to multiple units Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted. COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted. COVID booster required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted. 12 months gap required between for Staff at

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- NICU experience required.
- Bubble CPAP experience required.
Preferred Credentials:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
Special Requests:
- Assignment length may vary: 18 weeks for 9/14 orientation; 16 weeks for 9/28 orientation.
Unit Details:
- Cares for adult and NICU patients, with limited pediatric stabilization in the ER.
- Draws own ABGs, attends deliveries, and uses Bubble CPAP; if intubating in NICU, will place patients on a 980 ventilator and send out.
- May serve as shift charge therapist and as a preceptor to new team members or students.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Every other weekend and major holidays required.
14 days maximum time off 2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 2 years Proof of identification required for submission
Certifications:
BLS (Basic Life Support) RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification
CRT ACLS
