Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in the Birmingham, Alabama area as a dedicated speech-language pathologist, available to start as soon as possible through June 10. You will work onsite in schools and be assigned caseloads based on current needs and locations, making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and adolescents.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Valid Professional Educator Certification Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders from a regionally accredited institution Strong foundation in the laws, rules, and regulations governing services and education for children with disabilities Deep knowledge of pediatric and adolescent cognitive and physical development, as well as assessment tools used for identifying special needs Understanding of terminology related to physical and learning disabilities Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Excellent oral and written communication skills

ASHA Certification and ABSESPA Licensure Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive speech and language assessments, intervention, and consultation for students on caseload Interpret and apply regulations as they relate to services for children with disabilities within an educational environment Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families to support each student's individualized education plan Maintain accurate records and compile data to assess and monitor student progress Ensure services are delivered in compliance with state and federal guidelines and best practices This is an onsite position (no virtual/teletherapy) with flexibility to meet the needs of assigned locations.
