This contract opportunity runs from early August through mid-December, offering a dynamic schedule with approximately 37.5 hours per week. As an itinerant SLP, you'll split your time between Shelby County High, Columbiana Middle, and Helena Intermediate—providing valuable services to a diverse caseload of around 60 students.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Valid Alabama Professional Educator SLP Certification (can be verified at the official Alabama certification portal) Previous experience in a school setting preferred, especially with itinerant or split-site roles Strong organization and communication skills; able to effectively manage a multi-campus caseload Passion for supporting students with diverse speech and language needs

Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized and group speech and language therapy services as outlined in students' IEPs Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to enhance student learning outcomes Conduct thorough assessments and contribute to eligibility determinations Document progress and maintain timely, accurate records consistent with state and district policies Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise for student planning across multiple campuses Serve as a resource for speech and language development to school communities
