Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid
ASHA SLP
Certification (CCC-SLP) Professional Educator AL SLP Certificate (verifiable at the Alabama Department of Education site) Experience working in a school setting preferred Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills Flexibility to work in an itinerant role across three locations
Responsibilities:
Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and therapy for a caseload of approximately 60 students across three schools (Shelby County High, Columbiana Middle, Helena Intermediate) Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEPs Collaborate with teachers, families, and other educational staff to support student development Maintain detailed records and document progress per regulatory requirements Engage in ongoing communication with stakeholders to maximize student outcomes
