Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in educational settings by providing top-notch speech-language pathology services to students in a supportive, collaborative environment. This full-time, onsite contract opportunity is ideal for passionate SLPs who thrive working with elementary and middle school students, and are ready to work alongside dedicated educators.
Key Qualifications:
Active Alabama SLP license with ASHA certification (or Clinical Fellow accepted) Current professional educator certification for Alabama (verify at the state portal) Previous experience in school-based settings, particularly with elementary and middle school populations, preferred Comfortable managing a caseload of approximately 60 students Willingness to supervise if holding CCCs Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Role Highlights:
Provide direct therapy services to a diverse student caseload (about 60 students), primarily at one campus with occasional travel between two sites Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans addressing speech, language, and communication disorders Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to promote student progress Document services and maintain accurate student records in accordance with school and state guidelines Participate in IEP meetings, progress conferences, and interdisciplinary team discussions Offer supervision to Clinical Fellows if holding a CCC credential
