Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our dynamic healthcare team at our Decatur, AL location. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for patient care, particularly in pediatric populations, and demonstrate expertise in speech therapy techniques. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders across diverse patient groups. Duties Conduct thorough assessments of patients' speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing functions using standardized tools and clinical observations. Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs, including pediatric population. Deliver evidence-based speech therapy interventions aimed at improving communication skills. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams—including physicians, occupational therapists, and educators—to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Maintain detailed documentation of patient progress, therapy sessions, and treatment outcomes in compliance with healthcare regulations. Educate patients and their families about communication strategies, exercises, and techniques to support ongoing progress at home. Stay current with advancements in speech-language pathology practices, physiology knowledge, and medical terminology to ensure the highest standard of care. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized therapy environment conducive to effective treatment. Experience Proven experience working as a Speech-Language Pathologist in clinical or educational settings. Prior school experience or pediatric caseload management is highly desirable. Demonstrated expertise in speech therapy techniques for diverse communication disorders. Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to speech production and swallowing functions. Experience conducting patient assessments with proficiency in medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology. Familiarity with pediatric population and strategies for young children requiring developmental support. Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a compassionate approach toward patients of all ages.
