9659763-35071 Job Description Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary and middle-grade students with speech and language needs! In this onsite position, youll work with 3rd to 6th grade students, making a meaningful difference in their communication skills and fostering confident learners. This role is perfect for a speech-language pathologist passionate about education and collaboration. Youll dedicate two days a week to providing engaging, evidence-based therapy and collaborating with dedicated educators and families. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through late May 2027, offering the chance to form impactful connections with the Tarrant Intermediate School community.

Qualifications and Skills:

Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Valid Alabama SLP certification (ABESPA or

AL SLP DOE

Cert; candidates may start with either, pending the other) Experience in school-based speech therapy, ideally with grades 36 Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills Dedication to fostering inclusive learning environments and adapting interventions to individual student needs

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct speech and language services to students in small group and individual settings Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure optimal student outcomes Conduct assessments, maintain confidential records, and develop IEP goals Document progress and modify interventions as necessary Participate in IEP meetings and school team consultations This contract assignment offers the chance to work a consistent 15 hours weekly across two dedicated days, supporting a manageable caseload of intermediate-grade students.
