9619404-35209 Job Description Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in a dynamic school environment near Birmingham, AL! This onsite role is ideal for experienced Speech-Language Pathologists passionate about helping children and adolescents thrive academically and socially. Youll serve a diverse caseload of approximately 60 students across several welcoming campuses, including preschools, elementary, middle, and high school settings.
Key Qualifications:
Valid SLP certification in Alabama, including SLP Educator certification (please verify certification and fingerprinting requirements at the referenced AL certificate portal) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required Strong understanding of school-based SLP practices and IEP processes Experience managing caseloads of various sizes and working collaboratively with staff and families Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills Commitment to fostering positive student outcomes
Responsibilities:
Evaluate, diagnose, and provide direct therapy to students with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders Create and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals Conduct thorough student assessments and participate in eligibility meetings Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress Maintain accurate records and complete all required documentation on time Adapt services across multiple campus environments according to student needs
