Job Description

Step into a dynamic role supporting students communication and academic success as a contract speech-language pathologist in a vibrant school setting. Enjoy a manageable caseload and the opportunity to provide both therapy and evaluations with a collaborative team across multiple campuses. This is an onsite position running through May 27, 2027, offering valuable experience in a diverse and supportive educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) Current Alabama ASHA certification Alabama Educator SLP Certificate required (may start if the certificate is pendingsee Alabama Teacher Certification Portal for details) Experience with K-12 populations within a school environment Excellent communication, time management, and collaboration skills
Position Highlights:
Contract position, full-time hours (37.5 per week) Therapy and evaluation responsibilities for a consistent caseload (not exceeding 60 students) Multiple campus assignment options including elementary, magnet, and youth facility settings Caseloads distributed to maintain quality of service and manageable workflow Strictly SLPs no SLPAs in these positions
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct speech and language therapy sessions individually and in small groups Complete speech and language evaluations and contribute to multidisciplinary assessment teams Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and state requirements Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to maximize student progress Bring your expertise and commitment to excellence to an educational community that values your skills and experience.
