A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Category Schools - SLP - Telespeech Job Type Contract This contract opportunity seeks Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for virtual roles supporting school-based therapy and evaluations. Licensed practitioners will provide teletherapy services across multiple elementary and magnet school campuses in the Montgomery, AL area.

Key duties include:

Delivering speech and language therapy sessions to students Conducting comprehensive evaluations as part of student assessments Managing caseloads of up to 60 students Collaborating on treatment goal development and progress monitoring

Qualifications:

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology Valid Alabama ASHA Certification Alabama Educator SLP Certification (or eligibility to start with pending status) Experience with school-based speech-language pathology and teletherapy service delivery
