Qualifications & Skills:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA required Current state SLP licensure (or eligibility) Previous experience in a school setting is highly desirable Strong evaluation, diagnostic, and treatment skills for speech, language, and communication disorders Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and families Strong organizational skills and adaptability
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative speech and language therapy services to students with a range of needs Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's strengths and goals Conduct thorough assessments, interpret results, and document progress Collaborate closely with educators and special education teams to create supportive learning environments Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions Maintain accurate records in compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines Offer training, guidance, and resources to staff and families as needed
