Key Qualifications:
Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC SLP) Valid state licensure to practice as an SLP (or eligibility for licensure) Experience or strong interest in school-based settings, serving K-12th grade students Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population Solid knowledge of IEP process, speech assessments, and therapy methodologies
Primary Responsibilities:
Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in elementary through high school students Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, tailored to student needs and IEP goals Deliver direct and indirect services, utilizing research-backed interventions Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and support staff to foster an inclusive learning environment Monitor and document student progress, reporting updates to parents and multidisciplinary team Engage in IEP meetings, contributing your expertise to plan development and review Adapt interventions to meet diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds
