In this role, you will provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services to young children with communication delays or speech impairments, supporting their developmental milestones through evidence-based interventions. You will collaborate closely with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to create tailored therapy plans that foster meaningful progress in early childhood development. Responsibilities Conduct thorough speech and language assessments for pediatric patients from birth to five years old, utilizing standardized tools and clinical observations. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized speech-language therapy plans aligned with each child's unique needs and developmental goals. Deliver engaging therapy sessions via in-person or telehealth platforms, utilizing evidence-based techniques to improve speech, language, and communication skills. Collaborate effectively with families and caregivers to educate them on strategies that support their child's communication development at home and in community settings. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams—including occupational therapists, physical therapists, educators, and medical professionals—to ensure comprehensive care for each child. Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and service delivery within electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems. Stay current with best practices in pediatric speech-language pathology, early intervention strategies, and telehealth modalities to continually enhance service quality. Requirements Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), with eligibility for pediatric practice. Proven experience working with children in pediatric settings, including early intervention programs or school environments. Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques, language development milestones, physiology, anatomy related to speech production, and medical terminology relevant to pediatrics. Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive speech and language evaluations tailored for young children with diverse needs. Experience implementing speech-language therapy plans effectively across various settings—home visits, clinics, or telehealth platforms. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and reporting purposes. Excellent communication skills for parent collaboration and multidisciplinary teamwork. Ability to work with individuals with disabilities and adapt interventions accordingly; experience working with geriatric patients is a plus but not required.
