Listen Before You Speak Speech Therapy Services, PC is a pediatric private practice providing family-centered speech and language services to children ages 0-18, with a specialization in early start (birth-3 years). We partner with families to build communication within everyday routines, emphasizing parent coaching, play-based learning, and functional communication skills in natural environments. We believe therapy should not just happen during a session; it should live in the child's daily life. Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate, relationship-driven Speech-Language Pathologist to provide in-home early start services (0-3 years old) . This role is primarily a parent coaching and developmental speech/language intervention position . Services are provided in the child's natural environment (home or daycare) and focus on training caregivers to support communication, social interaction, and play skills throughout daily routines. This is an ideal position for an SLP who enjoys babies, toddlers, and collaborating closely with families. Primary Responsibilities Direct Early Intervention Services Provide in-home speech and language services to infants and toddlers (birth-36 months) Implement IFSP speech goal outcomes Embed strategies into daily routines (mealtime, playtime, outings) Support development of: Early communication Joint attention Gestures & imitation Play skills First words Following directions Social engagement Parent Coaching (MOST
IMPORTANT PART OF THE JOB
) Teach caregivers how to support communication during everyday activities Provide realistic, simple home strategies families can actually use Answer parent concerns about development Empower families rather than create therapist dependence Assessment Conduct developmental/communication assessments Contribute to IFSP reports and progress updates Documentation Complete session notes within 24 hours Write progress reports Maintain accurate billing and attendance records Follow Regional Center and company documentation requirements Caseload & Schedule Flexible schedule (you choose your availability) Typical sessions: 45-60 minutes 10-15 hours per week (depending on personal preference and availability of clients) Local geographic clustering to minimize driving Required Qualifications Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology California SLP License ASHA CCCs Early intervention experience OR strong interest in infants/toddlers Reliable transportation Valid driver's license & auto insurance Comfortable working in family homes Preferred (But Not Required) Early Start or Regional Center experience Experience with: Late talkers Autism (early signs) Developmental delays Parent education Key Personality Traits We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is: Warm and personable with families Comfortable sitting on the floor and playing (as needed) Flexible and creative Able to explain concepts simply Patient with parents who are anxious or overwhelmed Interested in prevention, not just treatment Benefits/Compensation W-2 Employee $60-$70 per hour for therapy (depending on experience & documentation quality) and $90 per assessment with written report Mileage reimbursement per state statue limit from client to client Flexible scheduling (e.g., daytime, after school, evenings, and/or weekends) Team meetings and peer collaboration Opportunities for advancement To apply for this position, use this link: https://forms.gle/VHJyP7MjCnmzMtyx5
