Job Description

Serves as a member of the multi-disciplinary assessment team in evaluating children for eligibility for speech-language services, which includes conducting speech-language assessments, holding or taking part in initial, annual and triennial IEP meetings, writing speech-language goals and objectives and assessment reports, and maintining appropriate records. Works in diverse multi-cultural education settings with students in all grade levels and with a variety of capablities. Provides speech-language therapy services to children identified as being qualified for such services, including but not limited to language development and articulation therapy. Consults with teachers and parents on appropriate speech-language strategies to be used with children needing services. Attends school site and district level staff meetings and staff development activities, as requested. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements / Qualifications
Certificate Copy (Copy of Degree) Copy of Transcript (College and/or University) Letter(s) of Recommendation (3 signed professional letters of recommendation (dated within the last 2 years) Resume (with Speech, Language, and Hearing classroom experience and education) Comments and Other Information The person selected for this position will be subject to pre-employment drug screening and fingerprint criminal history clearance (paid by MUSD) through the California Department of Justice, per BP 4112.41, AB160, and AB162, prior to the candidate's date of employment The McFarland Unified School District wishes to thank all applicants for their interest in this position.
