Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A dynamic opportunity is available for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to support a middle school caseload in a contract position for the upcoming academic year. Work closely with a collaborative education team to help students achieve their communication goals in a supportive and flexible environment.

Key Details:

Position begins August 19th, 2026 and continues through June 11th, 2027 Part-time commitment — two days per week, with flexible scheduling to be determined collaboratively with school leadership School day starts at 8:35 a.m.

Essential Qualifications:

Active California CTC credential is required Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) Prior experience with school-aged children, preferably at the middle school level Proficient at managing a caseload of approximately 25 students, including at least one who requires an AAC device Comfortable providing services to students with mid-moderate communication needs Strong communication, organization, and collaborative skills

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver speech and language therapy tailored to each student's IEP Assess, document, and track student progress, adjusting interventions as needed Consult and collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams Develop appropriate goals, strategies, and therapeutic interventions Support students in the use of AAC devices and implement assistive technology as appropriate This role provides a unique chance to make a meaningful impact while maintaining a flexible, part-time schedule.
