Key Responsibilities:

Assess referred patients for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing needs. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with physician recommendations and patient/family goals. Administer evidence‑based interventions. Complete thorough and timely documentation of evaluations, treatments, and progress. Monitor outcomes and modify treatment plans as appropriate. Educate patients, families, caregivers, and staff on treatment plans and therapeutic techniques. Assist patients in achieving independence and functional communication. Maintain efficient, high‑quality, cost‑effective patient care. Mentor new employees and volunteers as needed. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, rehabilitation professionals, and interdisciplinary team members. Adhere to hospital safety policies, regulatory standards, and professional practice guidelines. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program. Current California Speech‑Language Pathology License, or temporary license with commitment to obtain permanent within one year. Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification through the American Heart Association.
