A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

This assignment is ideal for passionate Speech-Language Pathologists who hold or are eligible for SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY credentials, and who thrive working with diverse learners in a school setting. As a key member of the educational team, you'll help empower students to reach their communication and academic goals.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current or eligible California licensure for SLP required ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants considered Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and school staff Genuine enthusiasm for supporting students across a range of speech and language abilities Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct evaluations, screenings, and assessments for students referred for speech and language services Develop and implement individualized education plan (IEP) goals in alignment with best practices Deliver direct and consultative therapy services, both individually and in group settings Maintain accurate and timely student records and documentation as required by local and federal guidelines Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Provide recommendations, resources, and training to staff and families as needed
