1 Description American Traveler seeks a Speech Therapist for an acute care hospital setting, requiring 2+ years of adult acute care experience and proficiency in conducting MBSS. Details Acute care hospital setting within a multi-facility network Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Weekend rotation required, likely every third Saturday and Sunday Float between two hospital campuses within the network as needed Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience in acute care with adult patients (1 year considered if internship was completed in acute care) Must be proficient in conducting Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) Active, unrestricted Speech-Language Pathology license required if applicable Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association Cerner and/or
EPIC EMR
experience must be documented in employment history Clinical work history required with all employment gaps of one month or longer documented and explained Recent experience in the specialty within the last three months required Two supervisor references required, one from the past year and one from the past two years Skills checklist specific to the position completed within the past year required Additional Information Conduct swallow studies and provide speech therapy services to adult patients in an acute care setting No RTO permitted during holiday weeks, though other dates may be considered Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will be automatically declined Candidates with any prior licensure action will not be considered Local candidates accepted with rates matching travel rates and no radius restriction
