335729 Job Description Speech-Language Pathologist

•School-Based Position Summary As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will provide speech and language assessment, intervention, consultation, and support to students. The SLP will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, families, and other service providers to develop and implement effective services and IEPs. This role includes opportunities for mentorship, team collaboration, and professional development. Responsibilities Schedule / Shift School-year schedule Full or part time Schedule follows the school-based calendar Key Duties Conduct speech and language assessments, interpret results, and develop appropriate intervention plans and recommendations. Participate in IEP meetings, develop and maintain legally compliant documentation, and serve as case manager for speech-only students. Provide speech and language services while monitoring student progress and adjusting interventions based on student needs and performance. Collaborate with general and special education teachers, families, administrators, and other service providers to support student communication and literacy needs. Maintain accurate records and participate in professional development, consultation, and multidisciplinary team activities.

Requirements Education Required:

M.A. or M.S. in

Speech-Language Pathology Preferred:

Minimum of two years of experience and/or experience working with students with

Autism Spectrum Disorder Licenses & Certifications Required:

California credential authorizing service as a Speech-Language Pathologist or Required Professional Experience (RPE)

Temporary License Additional:

Ability to meet California and ASHA requirements for speech-language assessment and services Skills Strong assessment, organization, planning, documentation, and implementation skills. Knowledge of federal and California special education laws, IEP processes, and best practices. Excellent communication and collaboration skills when working with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to travel within the San Francisco Bay Area with reliable transportation; mileage reimbursed beyond the usual commute. Bilingual Spanish or Vietnamese preferred.
