A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Requires a minimum of 2 weekend days per month (including Saturday & Sunday), preference for applicants with additional weekday availability. Duties & Responsibilities Completes case management activities consistent with department quality assurance and quality improvement standards. Completes written documentation in accordance with department standards for format, location, and time frames. Assists in achieving departmental financial budget targets Collaborates with the family, physicians, schools and other educational institutions, and other providers to ensure the continuum of care for the child and optimal clinical services. All interactions are non-judgmental and based on mutual respect. Demonstrates leadership and participates in systematic, planned professional development to improve the clinical, educational, research, and advocacy goals of the department and hospital. Completes diagnostic evaluations consistent with contemporary, evidence-based practice in speech-language pathology and department quality assurance standards. Clinician incorporates principles of cultural-competence and family-centered care into clinical services. Provides developmentally appropriate intervention services consistent with contemporary, evidence-based practice in speech-language pathology and department quality assurance standards. Inpatient hospital experience preferred. Experience in acquired/traumatic brain injury, feeding/swallowing disorders, and neurological speech disorders. Licenses & Certifications Basic Life Support CCC/Speech-Language Pathologist Speech-Language Path/Colorado Additional Requirements Certificate of Clinical Competence American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Salary Information Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.Hourly Range:
