Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract To Hire Make a significant impact in the educational setting as a Speech-Language Pathologist providing expertise across a dynamic school environment. This contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for a clinically experienced SLP holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) who is ready to guide and supervise onsite Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) as well as conduct student evaluations. Your skills and leadership will help shape the communication success of students and support a collaborative team atmosphere.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

Active SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA. Previous school-based experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants. Skilled in performing comprehensive speech and language evaluations. Excellent communication, organization, and leadership qualities.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and provide clinical supervision to onsite SLPAs, ensuring best practices and compliance with regulatory standards. Conduct detailed student evaluations and re-evaluations for speech and language needs. Collaborate closely with educators and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs). Document student progress and maintain accurate records in line with school and state guidelines. Serve as a clinical resource and mentor within a supportive educational team.
