9647823-06050 Job Description Exciting opportunities await qualified Speech-Language Pathologists passionate about working in elementary school settings. This is a full-time, contract position requiring commitment to a 35-hour work week, with several openings currently available. Candidates will primarily support elementary caseloads and may be assigned to split time between two school sites, providing essential services directly onsite. Professionals holding their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) are especially encouraged to apply. Recent graduates holding Clinical Fellow (CF) status can also be considered, so long as district supervision capacity allows. Please note, the district is unable to support SLP Assistants (SLPAs) for these roles at this time.
Key Qualifications:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current and active CT state license for SLP Strong school-based SLP experience Hold CCCs, or be a CF with supervisor support arranged Willingness to obtain district-required fingerprints and complete background checks Flexibility to serve in multiple school buildings as needed Comfortable participating in a virtual (Zoom) interview process Preference given to those with immediate, up-to-date licensure documents
Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative speech and language services to elementary-aged students onsite Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and track student progress Collaborate effectively with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with district and state requirements Adapt to working across two nearby schools if assigned a split caseload This rewarding contract position is ideally suited for SLPs seeking to make a meaningful contribution within a supportive school community.
