Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity that allows you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This full-time, contract role begins ASAP and extends through the end of the school year, providing valuable support to a diverse group of learners close to New Haven, CT. Your expertise will help foster communication skills and enhance academic performance for students in a welcoming educational setting.
Qualifications & Experience Desired:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid SLP-CCC certification State licensure to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility) Previous experience working in school settings strongly preferred Able to collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct speech-language assessments and interpret results for educational planning Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual students' needs Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services Maintain detailed records, progress notes, and required documentation Partner with classroom teachers to integrate therapy goals into daily instruction Communicate regularly with caregivers on student progress and strategies Participate in IEP meetings, data reviews, and ongoing professional development This assignment offers a unique chance to make an impact alongside supportive colleagues in a collaborative school environment.
