This position is close to North Haven, CT and calls for someone motivated to support communication needs in an engaging school setting, working with a diverse caseload. You'll collaborate with staff and families to help students reach their full potential, leveraging your experience with AAC devices and communication strategies.

Key Qualifications:

Active SLP-CCC or SLPA credential Previous experience in a school setting, preferably at the middle school level Proficient in AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) interventions Strong understanding of assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring for speech/language disorders Effective communicator with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Organized and adaptable, able to manage a varied caseload

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver evaluation, therapy, and support services to middle school students Implement and adapt AAC systems to fit individual communication needs Develop and maintain Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals, track progress, and keep accurate records Collaborate with teachers, staff, and caregivers to foster student growth Participate in IEP meetings and support students inclusion within the classroom environment Provide training and resources on communication strategies to staff and families as needed
