Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders with our elderly populations. Your expertise will help improve patients' quality of life by developing personalized therapy plans and collaborating with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams. Duties Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for adult patients, Develop and implement individualized speech-language therapy plans tailored to each patient's needs, utilizing evidence-based practices. Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, teachers, and healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive treatment approaches and optimal patient outcomes. Monitor patient progress regularly through assessments and adjust therapy strategies accordingly to maximize effectiveness. Document all patient interactions accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR), maintaining compliance with privacy regulations. Educate patients and their families about communication strategies, exercises, and home programs to support ongoing progress outside of sessions. Skills Extensive experience working with adult populations. Strong background in speech therapy techniques for individuals with speech impairments. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to speech production and swallowing functions. Proven ability to perform comprehensive speech and language evaluations using standardized tools. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology and multidisciplinary healthcare environments. Experience implementing speech-language therapy plans for patients with disabilities or complex communication needs. Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems for documentation and patient management. Ability to collaborate seamlessly within multidisciplinary teams including audiologists, occupational therapists, and physicians. Strong communication skills for patient education, and team coordination. Knowledge of working with geriatric patients on issues such as dysphagia or voice disorders is a plus.
