Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Bring your expertise in speech-language pathology to a rewarding school-based role supporting elementary students! This is a full-time contract opportunity offering 35 hours per week, with positions available to start as soon as possible and continue through June 11, 2027. You'll work onsite, potentially splitting your time between two nearby school sites and collaborating with a dedicated educational team. Ideal candidates are experienced in school settings and hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), although outstanding Clinical Fellows seeking supervision are also encouraged to apply (district supervision bandwidth is limited, but available for the right applicant). Your efforts will directly impact the communication growth and academic success of young learners. What we're looking for: Valid and active Connecticut SLP license (required prior to start) School-based speech-language pathology experience CCC certification strongly preferred; open to Clinical Fellows with district-provided supervision Elementary school caseload experience Ability and willingness to split time between two sites Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills District fingerprinting and background check (required) SLPAs not eligible for this position Key responsibilities: Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, and communication disorders in elementary settings Create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Work closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress Maintain timely and accurate documentation Participate in team meetings, evaluations, and related school-based activities Take advantage of this opportunity to make a lasting impact in a supportive educational environment.
