Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding, school-based role as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting elementary students in a vibrant educational environment near West Hartford, CT. This full-time, contract opportunity stretches from February to the end of the school year, offering a chance to make a measurable difference in the lives of young learners. Professional Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Holds or working toward ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), or eligible for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or ability to obtain prior to start) Skilled in delivering speech/language therapy in a school setting, on-site or via teletherapy Experience with elementary-aged caseloads strongly preferred Collaborative approach with excellent communication skills Strong organizational abilities and case management experience are a plus
Responsibilities:
Deliver evidence-based speech/language therapy to elementary students in individual and group settings Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for a wide range of speech and language disorders Write and maintain detailed documentation, including progress reports and IEPs Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and communicate with parents and staff Utilize resources to adapt to both in-person and virtual service delivery as needed Serve as a knowledgeable and approachable resource for families and colleagues This contract position comes with great pay, comprehensive benefits, and the invaluable support of a collaborative team dedicated to student success.
