Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a pivotal role providing vital speech and language services within a supportive school environment near West Hartford, CT. Two full-time, onsite contract positions are available to cover upcoming maternity leaves. These roles offer a meaningful opportunity to work collaboratively with educators, students, and families, making a genuine difference throughout the school year.

Position Details:

First opening: Coverage needed end of September through mid-December Second opening: Coverage required mid-November through the beginning of January Both positions are full-time (35 hours/week), serving students across grades K-12

Key Qualifications:

Hold an active Connecticut SLP license (upfront licensure highly preferred) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC) required Recent experience in a school-based setting working with K-12 students Willingness to work onsite—remote opportunities are not available for these assignments District fingerprinting and successful background check mandatory prior to start SLPAs are not eligible; only CCCs will be considered Ready to complete a Zoom interview as part of the selection process

Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students based on IEP goals Conduct assessments, create individualized treatment plans, and document progress Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student success Participate in IEP meetings and provide consultative support as needed Embark on your next rewarding chapter in school-based speech therapy by contributing your expertise during these critical maternity leave coverage periods.
