Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a role where your expertise in speech-language pathology will nurture the communication and growth of students from kindergarten through high school. This contract opportunity begins August 19, 2026, and runs through June 8, 2027, with options for either full-time (35 hours/week) or part-time schedules, allowing flexibility to suit your lifestyle.
Responsibilities include:
Contributing to the planning and delivery of speech-language therapy, addressing assistive technology, augmentative and alternative communication, social language skills, articulation, voice, oral-motor function, feeding, and delays in receptive and expressive language Performing comprehensive diagnostic and evaluation assessments Creating detailed, insightful reports based on student assessments and observations Providing support for early intervention and comfortable working with younger students Developing and maintaining individualized education program (IEP) objectives and progress monitoring Collaborating closely with parents, teachers, and allied professionals to support each student's developmental progress Demonstrating flexibility and a solutions-focused approach in a dynamic school environment Candidates should hold, or be qualified to hold, a Delaware state license as an SLP or CFY. Experience with K-12 students, especially those with moderate to severe communication needs, is advantageous. Strong communication skills, initiative, and a talent for collaborative teamwork are essential.
