In this impactful contract role, you'll deliver high-quality speech and language support both in a school setting and for students who are medically homebound. You'll be based in the greater Wilmington area, with a start date of August 25, 2026, and your expertise will be valued through the end of the academic year in June 2027. Enjoy a flexible schedulethis position can accommodate either full-time (37.5 hours per week) or part-time hours, Monday through Friday.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Delaware Speech Language Pathology (SLP) license Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Prior experience or strong interest in school-based speech therapy preferred Comfortable traveling locally to provide services to homebound students when needed Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success Commitment to supporting both in-building and homebound students, as caseload fluctuates throughout the year
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative speech and language therapy services for students with varied needs Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Conduct assessments and maintain timely, accurate therapy documentation Support students in achieving IEP goals both in the school building and at home as needed Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic student support Participate in staff meetings, parent conferences, and professional development You'll work in a dynamic educational environment where each day brings new opportunities to help students find their voice.
