This role provides diagnostic and therapeutic services to adult patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders resulting from stroke, neurological conditions, trauma, or other medical complexities.
Acute Care Speech Therapist Pool Responsibilities:
Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing impairments in an acute care setting. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals to ensure coordinated care. Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards. Educate patients and families on communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques. Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to discharge planning.
Requirements:
CCC-SLP (Speech Language Pathology) BLS (Basic Life Support) Speech Therapy License Required Master's Speech Therapy 1 year Clinical Related is preferred
