Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work primarily with children in a clinic setting, providing assessment and therapy services to support their communication needs. This role is essential in helping students overcome speech and language challenges, ensuring they can effectively communicate and succeed academically. Duties Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' speech and language abilities. Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and student needs. Implement speech therapy sessions focusing on improving articulation, fluency, voice, and language skills. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create and modify Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Provide early intervention services to children with speech and language delays. Maintain accurate records of student progress and therapy outcomes. Educate families on strategies to support their child's communication development at home. Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in speech therapy. Skills Experience working with children in a school or clinical setting. Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to speech-language pathology. Proficiency in understanding physiology and anatomy as it relates to speech production. Familiarity with early intervention techniques for young children. Ability to develop and implement effective IEPs tailored to individual student needs. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with students, families, and educational staff. Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students achieve their communication goals.
