Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' communication skills throughout Volusia County. School-based Speech-Language Pathologists are needed for a variety of full-time and part-time openings at the elementary, middle, and high school level. These positions begin in August 2026 and run through May 2027, with several locations seeking immediate coverage—including maternity leave placements and permanent openings. Whether you are an experienced SLP-CCC or a Clinical Fellow (CF), your expertise will be valued, and supervision is available for those beginning their careers.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

Active Florida Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFs) welcome with supervision provided Familiarity with school settings and IEP processes strongly preferred Passion for working with diverse student populations and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in school-aged children Develop and implement individualized therapy plans and IEPs in collaboration with teachers and other staff Maintain accurate records and provide regular progress updates to families and school personnel Participate in eligibility, team, and parent meetings as needed Contribute to a supportive and inclusive learning environment, fostering student success
