Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students' communication needs across dynamic school environments near Fort Pierce, FL. As a contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC), you'll focus on delivering high-quality therapy services tailored to each campus—whether working with elementary or high school students, you'll partner with collaborative teams making a difference year-round. Three separate assignments are available, each supporting a school's SLP team during maternity leaves: Manatee Academy K-8 : Immediate coverage needed through January; you'll join a robust SLP team managing a diverse K-8 caseload. Palm Pointe K-8 : Coverage from October through January; collaborate closely with a fellow SLP and serve a K-8 population including several ASD units. Ft.

Pierce Central High School :

September start through late October; work alongside an SLPA providing speech services to high school students. Your contract will run 35 hours per week—full-time, on-site. You'll be the primary SLP at one assigned campus, with a clear transition timeline and supportive colleagues.

What We're Looking For:

Current FL Speech-Language Pathologist license (ASHA CCC required) School-based SLP experience preferred; open to experienced clinicians with a strong school interest Familiarity with K-8 or high school student populations and IEP documentation Ability to adapt, communicate effectively, and collaborate within school teams Completion of required district fingerprinting; AHCA Clearinghouse prints may be transferable

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver evidence-based speech-language therapy to assigned caseload Conduct assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, write IEP goals Participate in eligibility meetings, IEPs, and staff consultations Maintain thorough documentation and compliance with school and state guidelines Picture yourself making a genuine impact during key transition periods for both students and staff.
