Job Description

Embark on an impactful opportunity in a dynamic pediatric outpatient clinic in vibrant South Florida. This one-year contract comes with potential for extension or permanent placement, allowing you to make a measurable difference in young lives. Work one-on-one with children ages 2 to 18, focusing primarily on those with mild to moderate needs, including high-functioning autism. Theres no group therapy or responsibility for medically fragile patientsmeaning youll be able to devote targeted attention to each childs development.
Desired background and skills:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid state licensure and active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) Experience in pediatric settings, with a strong understanding of school-based speech services Expertise in assessing, planning, and delivering therapy for receptive/expressive language, pragmatics, literacy (reading/writing) delays, articulation, and autism spectrum needs Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for working with children, families, and a collaborative clinical team Core responsibilities: Complete assessments and evaluations to tailor individualized therapy Deliver direct, one-on-one therapy sessions focusing on specific goals for each child Address a wide array of speech and language concerns including pragmatic language, literacy delays, articulation, and social communication in children with high-functioning autism Develop and maintain up-to-date documentation and progress reports Participate actively in IEP meetings, collaborating with education professionals and caregivers to support each students growth Make a genuine impact while growing your professional skills in a supportive clinical environment.
